Story

Nightlife should be a time for celebration, relaxation and connection, but it can sometimes bring moments of sudden vulnerability , danger or acute mental struggle. The Street Angels is that reliable connection between the vulnerable people and community, local door staff and the emergency services.

The Street Angels place special focus on keeping women, young people and lone individuals safe. Trained in conflict resolution and active bystander intervention methods, Street Angels volunteers diffuse potential altercations simply by stepping in with kindness, reducing the strain on the local police.

Beyond physical safety, Street Angels offer a listening ear, and reassuring shoulder to anyone experiencing emotional distress or feeling overwhelmed.

Every volunteer generously donates their time and energy during the coldest and darkest nights, but they rely on public support to stay equipped and operational.

Below are some messages from people supported by the Street Angels:

Hello, just to check if you are linked with the Nantwich Street Angels? My son was unfortunately the worse for wear on Welsh Row last night and 3 volunteers in Hi Vis jackets stayed with him until my husband got to him. We are very grateful and just wanted to say thank you xx

This is Jane (name has been changed) from last night. My Grand dad gave me your number and said you helped me last night, so I just wanted to say thank you
