Support Sunflowers. Support Suicide Prevention

Sunflowers are raising vital funds to help provide suicide prevention training and raise awareness in our community. Every donation can help us to equip more people with the knowledge to recognise signs, start important conversations and save lives

Sunflowers Suicide Support provides a range of trauma-informed interventions to meet the holistic needs of bereaved children, young people and adults who have lost loved ones to suicide. The charity was set up in memory of Pete Morris who took his own life in September 2016, aged 29 years old.

Story

Behind every suicide is a person who is deeply loved and greatly missed. Families are left navigating unimaginable grief and communities are left wondering what more could have been done to make suicide awareness more prominent.

At Sunflowers, we support people whose lives have been changed forever by losing a loved one to suicide, and we know that one conversation, one person recognising the signs, or one act of compassion can make a life-saving difference.

That's why, in Suicide Awareness Month 2026, we're raising funds to provide suicide prevention training and raise awareness in our community. We want more people to feel confident in spotting when someone may be struggling, to know how to reach out, and to understand that asking someone if they're okay really can change a life.

Our target of £3,000 can provide 2 safeTALK training sessions or 1 ASIST training course. Every donation helps us bring this vital training to more people, break down the stigma surrounding suicide, and create a community where nobody has to suffer in silence.

Together, we can turn awareness into action, and help save lives.

Thank you for being part of this important journey.
