We are two groups of Rangers (part of Girlguiding) based in Garstang, near Preston and in Lancaster in the North West of Lancashire.
In July 2020, two of our leaders will be taking two patrols of 9 girls each to the European Scout Jamboree in Poland. This is the first European jamboree to be held since 2005.
25000 will be taking part in the event and we are extremely lucky to be able to attend.
The Jamboree is an educational event where they will be learning through adventures, discussions and workshops. They will interact with young members of various cultures, languages and countries, the motto being Every scout and guide possesses potential to become a driver of social change.
Not only is this educational, but we believe that their mental and physical health will benefit by taking part.
As as members of Girlguiding, we value every child equally and we believe that they should all be able to join no matter what. Our volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes in their own time to ensure that this can be the case, however, we would like to take this opportunity to ask if you could help us with our fundraising to ensure that no girl is left out.
We thank you for taking the time to read about our group and ask, if you can, to donate towards our cause.
