The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileScouting has played an important part of the Henley in Arden and Wootton Wawen community for over 100 years, providing help and support to all ages within the village community.
The 1st Henley & Wootton Scout Group is part of the West Warwickshire district, one of eight Scout District's within the County of Warwickshire. The Group now comprises 1 Beaver colony, 1 Cub Scout pack, 1 Scout troop and is also home to one of the District Explorer Units the Sheepshankers. We meet weekly during term time and last year when we couldnt meet face to face last year, the sections ran virtual sessions
Our hut is located just outside Henley in Arden within the recreation grounds on freehold land owned by the Henley in Arden War Trust. Our original hut was a site office for the Water Board, who gifted the building to us. Unfortunately the hut became beyond repair and the group had to stop using the using in 2020.
Through fundraising and an enormous amount of community support the group have raised enough funding to erect a new building, however we now need to outfit and finish the interior of the building.
