Ace Africa believes in building sustainable futures for children and their communities in rural Tanzania and Kenya. We do this through improved food and economic security, health, well-being and rights awareness.

Story

On 3rd September 2003 Ace Africa opened its doors in Bungoma Western Kenya, where the HIV and AIDS epidemic had ravaged local communities. Today, with the support of individuals, trusts, foundations and institutional donors, Ace has helped over 2 million people improve their education, health, wellbeing and economic security.

Two decades on, we continue to work in remote, rural and impoverished communities in Kenya and Tanzania with some of the most marginalised, vulnerable people, particularly children, youth and women. We engage the community to identify their needs and take responsibility for their future, we ensure projects are accessible and sustainable by integrating them into community and government led local services. Our approach has not changed but is constantly evolving to address the challenges of today.

As we celebrate this 20 year milestone, we look forward. Now more than ever, the impact of the war in Ukraine and the global economic and climate crises are affecting already struggling communities around the world, we need to reach more vulnerable people with our locally led, tried and tested approach.

To celebrate our 20 year success, please help us raise £20,000 to provide thousands more children and young people with essential education, skills and services to:

• Improve their access to local, sustainable health, mental health and wellbeing services

• Protect their rights, particularly reducing vulnerability to early marriage, sexual violence and HIV

• Increase their income through business skills and village banking and loan schemes

Thank you once again for your support

Love and very best wishes,

Joe, Augustine and Anthony
