We are a separately registered branch of the RSPCA and are responsible for raising funds to help animals in our local area, this includes running a subsidised veterinary clinic for people who claim benefits, hand rearing and caring for wildlife and running a rehoming centre for small animals.

Story

2024 is the RSPCA's 200th year.

It all started in a coffee shop in london on 16th June 1824, the RSPCA became the first animal welfare charity in the world, originally called the SPCA , the society gained royal recognition thanks to Queen Victoria officially becoming the RSPCA in 1840.

Since these early days the society has been at the forefront of animal welfare and 200 years on the society continues to push for change.

If you would like to help us continue to be leading the charge the make animals lives better please consider a donation.
