Juliette, or Daisy to her friends, is proof that girls can do anything. Inspired by our founder, we have set our sights high to honor her by raising over $1,600 with 160 gifts for her birthday.
When the COVID-19 global pandemic struck and our council was forced to close its offices, cancel programs and restrict troop meetings, we knew we had to keep the girls engaged with Girl Scouts and quickly! We reimagined our programs into a new medium and started building a following of girls from all over the world.
Financial support from donors has made it possible for Girl Scouts to stay open and active while so many opportunities and activities for girls have been cancelled.
As Girl Scouts everywhere celebrate Founder's Day, let's take time to acknowledge that Juliette Low was the very embodiment of courage, confidence and character, and she did, indeed, make the world a better place.
Her long and storied life was full of challenges overcome, opportunities seized, and victories savored. She was a Girl Scout first and always, and she exemplified the essential traits that make up the Girl Scout DNA.
Please make a gift today in honor of our founder and first troop leader, Juliette Gordon Low. No amount is too little and 100% of your contribution helps Girl Scouts right here in western and central North Carolina.
Happy Birthday, Juliette!
