The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.

Thirty-seven thousand children and young people enter care every year [1] and unfortunately many will find themselves in hospital for a child protection medical check, with few belongings or familiar faces. At Caring Kits for Kids, we recognised that providing a backpack with some home comforts would make that transition into the next stage of a young person's life that bit easier. We have since expanded to meet the needs of expectant mothers arriving at hospital with no belongings to care for themselves or their new-born. Alongside supporting vulnerable people during their time in hospital, we hope to relieve hospital staff of the burden, both emotional and financial, of providing these items themselves.
We are incredibly grateful to all those who have agreed to participate in the Golders Green Depot gym challenge to support such a great cause. Between 24th and 31st October fundraisers will be aiming to collectively lift 10,000 kgs and Cycle/ Run 200 miles.
Every penny that you donate is spent directly on provisioning kits with anything a child or new mother might need for 24 hours in hospital. For example, a children's kit contains pyjamas, underwear, a cuddly toy, a book, toothbrush, toothpaste and other hygiene products.
