Since COVID the levels of loneliness have been on the increase and are likely to soar during this period of exceptional economic hardship. This is concerning as frequent and sustained loneliness is also linked to heart disease, strokes and dementia. 

Our annual fund-raising appeal ends on Monday 13 November. As this year’s President, I am calling on your generosity to extend our support to volunteer led organisations tackling these issues, who are all facing significant cost increases.

Any donation you can make will be enormously appreciated and will make a real difference to the quality of life of the elderly supported by the organisations we fund.
