Preventing Human Trafficking Before it Happens

Over 50 million people are enslaved and trafficked every year. 1 in 4 are children. Most are women and girls. Unfortunately, this crime is on the rise, and climate change, conflict, and crises around the world continue to raise risk for vulnerable people. When we see people in need, traffickers see an opportunity to make profit, and they make over $500 billion in profit annually.

STOP THE TRAFFIK has a solution. Through data-driven prevention, we can stop exploitation before it happens, build resilient communities, and protect vulnerable people from harm. Last year alone, STOP THE TRAFFIK guided over 3000 people to safety who may have otherwise been trafficked.

Last year Plenitude took part in STOP THE TRAFFIK's 10FOR10 Challenge and raised an outstanding £2,379.

This year we have an ambitious goal to double that target and double our impact. Together we can help STOP THE TRAFFIK scale its prevention efforts and reach more people in need.

How to take part:

1. From July 1-July 31 2024, pick an activity solo or with a team to take part. You can walk, run, lift, cycle, dance. You could even swim 10k right outside your office, the world is your oyster!

2. Create your fundraising page linked to this main campaign. Make a team name and a team target.

3. Promote your activity with your friends, families, and colleagues. Share pictures from your training journey along the way, and post results and shots from your activity on the day!

4. Whoever brings in the most money individually wins a trophy, and whichever team brings in the most money as a group wins a trophy as well at our Plenitude Games awards ceremony.
