At UW–River Falls, the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) prepares students to lead in some of the world’s most essential industries—agriculture, food production, environmental stewardship, and sustainability.

Students in CAFES learn by doing. From working in laboratories and greenhouses to gaining hands-on experience with livestock, crops, food science, and natural resources, these real-world opportunities help students turn knowledge into action.

During UWRF Giving Days, support for the CAFES Fund for Excellence helps expand these experiences by providing resources for student research, academic travel, field experiences, and innovative learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

These moments help students develop the skills, confidence, and leadership needed to strengthen communities and industries across Wisconsin and beyond.
