Sarah London wears many hats: actress, voiceover artist, teacher, writer. But above all else, she is a mum — and that is the role that defines every choice she makes.

Through a twist of fate, Sarah crossed paths with colorectal surgeon Gianluca Colucci and learned about his work with frontline medical teams in Ukraine through SMART Medical Aid. What she heard stayed with her. The courage. The urgency. The very real need to keep doctors equipped while saving lives under fire. She felt compelled to help — not as an observer, but as someone who does something.

If Sarah had her way, she would have driven an ambulance straight to Ukraine herself. But three very wise daughters firmly vetoed that plan. So she did what she knows best: she brought people together, used her voice, her network, and her creativity — and turned compassion into action.

The result was a comedy night at Komedia. Laughter with purpose. Joy in service of survival. This year marks the second time Sarah has staged the event, and such is her commitment that the third — planned for 2027 — is already underway.
