Story

2nd Leytonstone Sea Scouts have been Scouting since 1909, our group belongs to the Waltham Forest Scouting District, Greater London North East. We are an active part of the community welcoming young people aged 6-14 to our Hall for enriching activities every week.

At the moment our Group counts 60+ young people across Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts. Membership is open to all young people who want to learn new skills, meet new friends, be part of a world family of Scouts, and have fun together in the safe environment created by our dedicated volunteer leadership team. We all come from different backgrounds but what binds us is the belief we can make a positive impact on the lives of those around us.

Why we need your help

The Essex International Jamboree next year (27th July - 3rd August) will be welcoming 10,000 Scouts and Guides and for all involved will be an unforgettable experience, shaping their futures, building connections, helping them learn new skills, and getting them to celebrate what Scouting and Guiding is all about - friendship and ethos of doing your best and helping others. We would like for 16 of our Scouts to embark on this new adventure.

To make it happen for our young people, we kindly ask for your help with fundraising so that we can keep the cost of this unique international camp for the families of our Scouts more manageable. With the money raised, we will be looking at covering transport, food, and necessary equipment.

Every penny donated by people like you will help us provide an unforgettable life-changing experience to our young people. Our Scouts will pay it forward and will keep making a positive difference to the world around them.

We encourage you to follow our progress and activities via our Facebook page.
