Story
As we celebrate our thirtieth year, we need to raise £30,000 to keep on making an impact in Huddersfield - and we need your help!
Thirty years ago a group of passionate local people banded together to fundraise £5million to transform a derelict building into Lawrence Batley Theatre, because they felt it was essential that the town had a world class theatre.

As a registered charity (No. 510693), just like thirty years ago, Lawrence Batley Theatre couldn’t exist without the support of our community from near and far.

Each year we host over 450 performances, workshops and events that are enjoyed by more than 70,000 people both in our theatre and within the community. Community is at the heart of what we do. We believe local people absolutely deserve to have to best on our doorstep.
