3 Peaks in 3 Days

The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in ‘one go’. These peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales.
The Three Peaks Challenge is an attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in ‘one go’. These peaks are Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales.
As our super mad trustees have chosen to push their bodies to the limit and brace themselves for a fast-paced and physically challenging adventure, as they take on the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales.
The National Three Peaks Challenge is graded as tough. This is described as the perfect challenge for people who are of an adventurous spirit with an open mind and who have taken part in a similar event previously and are prepared to put in the necessary training to push themselves on a more challenging trek.
Note about our trustees: They are a fantastic group of females of a certain age bracket where they should be thinking of growing old and slowing down – Never they say! They have plenty of enthusiasm and have previously completed the London Bridges 50km in a day walk, jumped out of aeroplanes, zip-wired and a host of other activities - if that counts.
However they definitely want to be able to let our supporters know that they will be:
• Trekking for around 18 hours during the challenge.
• Covering over 28 miles of undulating terrain. Over a full marathon distance, but with 3 hills!
• Ascending a total of 3000m in a single day. Almost the same amount of ascent as summiting Kilimanjaro!
• Summiting the 3 highest hills in the UK, Ben Nevis (1344m) Scafell Pike (977m) and Snowdon (1085m)
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference to the bereaved families we support!
