Fundraising challenge: The 3 Peaks
Dear families,
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in the PTFA events we have held so far this year.
Over the last few years, our dedicated staff members have consistently demonstrated their commitment to our mission statement by embracing challenge and participating in inspiring and enriching activities of their own – rising to challenges and reaching potential.
As many of you know, hiking is a personal passion of mine, and I am excited to channel this enthusiasm into a new challenge: completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks. This iconic route involves summiting three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire—Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough—covering a total distance of 24 miles with a combined ascent of approximately 1,800 metres. On average, it takes participants between 10 and 12 hours to complete the challenge.
We are excited to use this as an opportunity to involve our wider school community and members of the PTA have already kindly agreed to join me for this challenge. It will be a great way to come together, promote teamwork, and raise our aspirations as a school.
We would love for as many people as possible to take part, whether that be by tackling all three peaks, joining for one or two sections of the walk, or simply meeting us afterwards for food and celebration. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible take part in whatever way you can.
We would love for as many people as possible to take part - information will be sent out regarding this shortly. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible take part in whatever way you can.
We are aiming to complete this challenge on Saturday 17th May – please keep an eye out for the Google Form we will send out to gauge who may be available to take part in this challenge.
Thank you for reading.
