Gary, Damon, Amber, Lisa, Dave and Aniya - just a few of the people the Surrey Care Trust has helped over the last 40 years. People with complex problems; people who cannot find help elsewhere have turned to us when their lives are in crisis.

The Trust has responded to our community's changing needs over the years with a range of innovative projects and services. Today we give low-income families, troubled young people and low skilled adults the confidence and self-belief, skills and education, aspirations and opportunities to create better lives for themselves, through mentoring and counselling support, outreach and community work, outdoor activities and alternative education.

Gary was homeless, unemployed and suffering from depression when he turned to us...Damon was unable to find a job because of his autism and was socially isolated when he contacted the Trust...Amber had stopped going to school because of her mental health and problems at home when she was referred to us...Lisa, a single mum of three was recovering from domestic abuse when she got in touch...Dave was recovering from alcohol addiction when he heard about the Trust...Aniya was struggling to cope with her violent son and trying to make ends meet when we heard her cry for help...

With the help of over 500 trained volunteers we have helped to change the lives of Gary, Damon, Amber, Lisa, Dave and Aniya and thousands more. Not only do they have brighter futures, but the wider community has also gained when people are people better equipped to make a positive contribution to society.
