Why sponsor our team?

Outdoors For You is dedicated to improving the physical and mental wellbeing of asylum seekers, refugees and individuals from minority ethnic communities in Glasgow. By breaking down barriers and facilitating diverse activities, we strive to create an inclusive community where everyone can thrive. Your support will help us continue to provide:

• Diverse Activities: From walking, hiking, and hill-walking to cycling, running, and swimming, we offer a variety of activities that promote health and wellbeing.

• Community Engagement: We foster strong, supportive relationships among participants, breaking down barriers and promoting equality and fairness.

• Environmental Awareness: We work closely with other organisations that support the environment that we are part of, from tree planting to litter picking, our eco-conscious practices encourage a deeper connection to nature.

RCN SC051780
Outdoors For You was founded in 2018 by people who share a passion for Scotland’s fantastic outdoors and believe that nature and an active lifestyle can help people heal and improve their mental and physical wellbeing. We started as a non-profit organisation, company number SC608815. We were awarded SCIO Charity status SC051780 in June 2022. Our primary client group are from a minority ethnic background, particularly people seeking asylum and New Scots in Glasgow, which is the biggest dispersal city in Scotland. Often, people who are seeking asylum or have come through the UK Asylum system are marginalised and face many barriers, including destitution, depression, loneliness, and social isolation, as well as language barriers.
