Raising funds for: Younger People with Dementia (YPWD) & South Oxfordshire Mencap Society
Our cycling group is taking on a 50 km Pedalathon challenge – not just on bikes, but also on pedalos! – to raise money for two amazing local charities that make a real difference in people’s lives.
💚 YPWD is a unique and essential charity supporting individuals who are diagnosed with young onset dementia under the age of 65 in Berkshire, Surrey Heath, North East Hampshire and Farnham. They provide tailored, meaningful services including:
- Daily workshops and micro groups
- One-to-one support
- Carer support and education
- Social events and children's groups
YPWD is one of a few dedicated services in our region focused on supporting the younger age group and their work is truly life-changing for families and individuals navigating dementia far earlier than expected.
💙 South Oxfordshire Mencap Society
Serving Henley-on-Thames and surrounding areas, this local charity creates opportunities for people with learning and physical disabilities to enjoy fuller, more connected lives. Their respite and community activities give individuals a chance to thrive, form friendships, and engage meaningfully with others – while offering vital support to carers and families.
We’re coming together – pedalling hard and splashing out on pedalos – to raise funds and awareness for these two brilliant organisations. Every donation, big or small, helps support their ongoing work and the people who depend on them.
Please support us in any way you can and help us make every kilometre count. Thank you!
