Story
On Tuesday 13th January, The West Raynham Ward launched the second stage of their equipment appeal. Last October, they conquered a 57-mile hike across the Norfolk coast in aid of a new specialised exercise bicycle for physiotherapy. Now they’ve managed to raise enough funds for the exercise bicycle, they’re putting it to good use.
The next stage of their event will be virtually cycling the route from John O'Groats to Lands End. A whopping 979 miles! The event will pit the team against patients who will also be taking part in the epic challenge. But who will raise the most money?
It is the stroke ward’s hope to raise enough money for an aphasia library. The books will allow patients to exercise their mind as well as their bodies, encouraging speech and language therapy during their recovery.
