The Moor Pool 5k Summer Challenge returns for 2026! Last year participants raised £1600 by running, walking and wheeling a 5k anywhere on the Moor Pool Estate over the six week Summer holiday period. This time we have extended the time to the whole of the Summer over 12 weeks from 22nd June to 13th September and extended the area to the wider Moor Pool area so the 5km doesn’t need to stay entirely within the Estate, but should include it.

It’s all about getting active and enjoying the outdoors and Moor Pool at your own pace, whether you’re aiming for a personal best or enjoying time out with the family and friends, the challenge is for everyone.

If you would like to support a participant taking part in the 5k Summer challenge, the money raised will help us continue to improve the spaces and community buildings we look after, for the enjoyment of the local and wider community.
