On 7th June 2026, Joy of Learning turns 5 years old! What an incredible milestone. We have so much to celebrate and have such big plans for our future. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we have a range of ways you can get involved…

We have a Birthday Fayre on Saturday 6th June in Cardiff, with the opportunity for supporters to join online for ‘our story so far’ and to help us cut the Birthday cake! Please do get in touch for more information about either attending in person or online.

We have our Birthday Children’s Challenge – Challenge Packs are available and we would love as many children to take part as possible.

Finally, ‘The 5th Birthday 5000 Challenge’ - we would love to collectively travel 5000km between Saturday 30th May and Saturday 6th June. You can swim, walk, run, cycle or even paddle, just get out and track your distance then let us know how many kilometres you travelled.

We would love to raise as much money as possible from our Birthday Fayre, Children’s Challenge and The 5th Birthday 5000 Challenge, and have set ourselves a whopping target of £5000. We know it is a huge amount of money, but we have several big steps to take in the coming year for Joy of Learning, and we really need the funds to do so. Could you help us to reach that goal? Every donation will make a huge difference to the work we do and will help us to change lives all over Uganda.
