Story
5 super amazing children in Year 5 have created the 5x5 challenge, for our national mental health charity, The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.
1 in 8 children have a diagnosable mental health condition. That's roughly 3 children in every primary classroom!
Half of ALL mental health problems start by the age of 14.
Around 75 per cent of young people experiencing a mental health problem are forced to wait so long, that their condition gets worse.
That's why the 5x5 challenge was created!
5 young students, all in year 5, participating in challenges based on the 5 ways to wellbeing which are:
1. Connect | 2. Keep learning | 3. Give | 4. Be active | 5. Take notice
One of the challenges involves walking 50 miles, collectively, for mental health! (That's a huge 10 miles each.)
Any donations going to this fantastic five will be greatly appreciated and will be used to continue promoting positive mental health and wellbeing, and helping those who are in need of our vital services.
