60 for Sixty

For coming up to 60 years, Kidney Wales has been supporting children, adults and families across Wales affected by kidney disease. From funding life-changing research and equipment, to providing emotional, practical and financial support, we’ve stood beside the kidney community every step of the way.

Now, as we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we’re asking supporters to take on a challenge around the number 60 and help us continue making a difference for the next generation of kidney patients and families.

Why it matters

Every day, people across Wales are facing the reality of kidney disease. For many, life becomes filled with hospital appointments, dialysis treatments, uncertainty and financial pressure. Kidney Wales is here to ensure no one faces that journey alone.

Over the years, Kidney Wales has helped fund pioneering kidney care, supported transplant services, campaigned for organ donation changes, and provided direct support to families when they need it most.

Today, we continue to provide:

* Wellbeing and food vouchers

* Support for children and families

* Education and awareness programmes

* Investment into research and innovation across Wales

Your challenge can be anything linked to the number 60:

* Walk 60 miles

* Run for 60 minutes a day

* Bake 60 cupcakes

* Swim 60 lengths

* Raise £60

* Gather 60 supporters

However you choose to take part, every pound raised will help support families living with kidney disease across Wales.
