Help children heal! During the month of April, were raising $21,356 to provide crucial therapeutic equipment! A crucial part of the Ranken Jordan Care Beyond the Bedside model relies on a variety of therapies. On day one of admission, Ranken Jordan patients begin physical, occupational, and speech therapies, all which require readily available equipment. Your generous donation will provide patients with ankle foot orthotics (AFOs) and other orthotic tools to help them heal and transition home!

Almost every patient at Ranken Jordan uses AFOs. Like all children, our patients are growing every day, and they grow out of orthotics as fast as they grow out of their clothes! There is a constant need for them, but they come at a steep cost. The price of orthotics ranges from $500 to $2,500, but insurance does not cover this cost while patients are in the hospital. Insurance only covers orthotics after discharge once they are home even then it could take month to receive them. It is important for our therapists to have orthotics available here at Ranken Jordan, so patients can work towards their therapy goals on day 1!
