AGBU'S RELIEF EFFORTS IN LEBANON: AN OVERVIEW
VOLUNTEER MOBILIZATION : In the days following the Beirut port explosion of August 4th, AGBU Lebanon established a task force and mobilized hundreds of local volunteers.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION : The AGBU Center is distributing food boxes to 750-1,000 or more families (we expect the need to exceed 1,000 very quickly). Food boxes include various nutritious and substantive provisions.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE : AGBU dispensaries are providing medications and first aid essentials.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE : AGBU will finance and assist in organizing the rebuild of houses, replacement of windows and doors and the provision of essential home appliances. Our reach is extensive in Beirut and throughout its surrounding areas: Hadjin, Khalil Badawi, Mar Mikhail, Geitawi, Ashrafieh, Bourj Hammoud, Jal El Dib, Zalka and Jdeideh.
TEMPORARY HOUSING: The AGBU Center has been transformed into a temporary housing unit for Armenians whose homes have been destroyed or badly damaged.
YOUR IMPACT: 100% of donations will be directed to our on-the-ground relief efforts in Lebanon . For a limited time: ALL donations will be matched 1:1. That means your $100 donation becomes $200.
