As Christmas approaches, we want to help spread some festive cheer to those families who will struggle to afford food basics, let alone any Christmas goodies.

We are based in Walker, one of the most deprived wards in Newcastle upon Tyne and have been providing food support to local families in need every week since the start of the pandemic. We deliver food parcels and want to be able to make Christmas Hampers with a few luxuries to go with the parcels we distribute just before Christmas. For families with children, we also hope to add a toy per child as we know many will go without a gift from Santa.

Our Christmas deliveries will help over 300 people, but we expect this figure to rise as referrals increase in the coming weeks. All donations to this appeal will make a huge difference to what we can put into the hampers because as food prices increase, we have to spend more to keep our stocks up.

Typically, we expect we'll need to spend £15 for a single person, £20 for a couple & £25 for a family of 4, plus around £10 for a child's toy. We are so grateful for any support we receive, no matter how small, as it really does help us share some love over the festive period.
