Story

The British Institute of Florence has reopened its glorious library and is resuming its educational and cultural programming. We are delighted to be back, but continue to face serious financial challenges (remember the Institute receives no public funding whatsoever).

We ask you to support the Institute and its cultural activities during these challenging times. Whether you attend our Wednesday Lectures series (or other events) in person at Palazzo Lanfredini, or online through Zoom and YouTube, any contribution you can make is most welcome!

About the charity

For close to 100 years our goal has remained constant: to offer an inspiring and vibrant mix of teaching and cultural exchange for students of all ages. We receive no public funding. Our education programmes and your generous support allow us to maintain our unique library and cultural centre.
