We have been devastated by the tragic news that Becky Plummer passed away on 19th June 2021. Becky was a kind, gentle, loving person, who was gracious in all she did and touched many people's hearts throughout her life. She was a wonderful wife to Lee and mother to Calen-Mei and Zachary and will be dearly missed by so many.
Becky and Lee had a big connection with Acacia Family Support, a charity which offers help to families affected by pre and postnatal depression.
Both Becky and Lee used Acacia's service many years ago and since then have been heavily involved with the charity. They devoted much of their spare time to raising awareness of postnatal depression, by sharing their story, with courage and vulnerability, to help volunteers to understand the depths of the struggles families go through with PND.
Lee became the Chair of Trustees for Acacia for many years, and in 2019, Becky bravely did a skydive for Acacia to raise vital funds, wanting to make sure that other mums who were going through the same thing she did, had access to the support they needed. Only a few months ago, she also signed up to take part in this years London Marathon.
Lee and his family are heartbroken over Becky's death and have kindly asked for any donations to be made to Acacia, to help save other families from the pain they are going through now.
Every penny donated will go towards helping families who are experiencing the difficulties Becky endured. Acacia helps families by showing kindness, care, and compassion, listening to them without judgement, and equipping them with tools and strategies to help them every day with their mental health.
Words can't express how much we all loved and cared for Becky and our loss of this beautiful soul is most definitely heaven's gain.
