Marvin Sordell is attempting to break a Guinness World Record in the run up to World Mental Health Day on Sunday 10 October 2021 and would love your support to raise money for Beder (www.beder.org.uk).
Beder is a charity taking a unique approach to softly raising awareness around mental health and suicide prevention through organising a range of events and initiatives which bring people together who share similar interests.
Marvin, who is a Beder ambassador and ex-Premier League striker, will be attempting to achieve the most penalty kicks taken by an individual in an hour with the current record standing at 359, which equates to taking one penalty every 16 seconds.
We will be attempting this challenge at Meadowbank Stadium in Dorking which is home to Beder FC (https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/12291025/who-are-beder-fc) on Wednesday 29 September in case you would like to come and watch as spectators are welcome.
We would love to hear how many penalties you think Marvin will take in an hour so for every £10+ donation, please provide your guess in the message/comment section and the winner(s) will receive a selection of exciting Beder goodies including their own Beder FC football shirt, a match ball used during the challenge signed by Marvin and a Beder water bottle (collectively, worth over £60!).
