Story

Belvedere College SJ have two Conferences of St Vincent de Paul supporting families and individuals in the inner city. The student led Conference is called St Aloysius and the adult past pupil Conference is called St Stanislaus.

The St Aloysius Conferences main activities include 4 weekly soup runs every Wednesday throughout the whole year, Christmas hamper allocation, Kids party, Annual outing for local residents, weekly visitation to local residents and an annual dinner dance for locals.

The St Stanislaus Conferences main activities include weekly visitation, supporting families with education needs, Christmas hampers and other support.

Every Christmas each of the two St Vincent de Paul Conferences carry out a separate Christmas Appeal to support their work. This year given the Covid pandemic, and knowing there are many appeals for charities who lost income during the year, we have decided to do a joint appeal on behalf on both Conferences and divide the funds 50/50.

We are very conscious of so many requests there are to support charities and good causes. We understand that this year above all may be trying for many families and we respect that some may not be in a position to offer support.

If you are in a position to offer any support we want to say thanks. Your support will go a long way to helping families that each of the College SVP Conferences engage with.
