Yorkshire Children's Trust are a small charity based in Halifax, West Yorkshire and support children across all of the Yorkshire regions with emotional and financial support.

The financial support includes help with a Hospital Stay Grant for a child in hospital, this one off grant helps to pay for additional costs such as travel to/from hospital and parking charges. Our other financial support is through a 50:50 Grant which helps to cover half of the cost of expensive equipment and therapies.

Our emotional support encompasses respite breaks at our holiday home and counselling and play therapies at our counselling suite in Halifax.

We have been very kindly offered new premises which will be available to us later in the year and we reach our big 10th birthday milestone, we are launching our Birthday Appeal to help raise funds to kit out our new sensory room and twin counselling suites.

We will have one counselling suite aimed at younger children where we mainly provide play therapies, with the second suite designed and aimed more at teenagers and young adults. The adjoining sensory room will provide a safe and comfortable environment for us to be able to provide therapies to children with additional sensory needs.

We expect the work to be fully completed by the end of the year and we need your help and support. Every donation to this appeal will be used to fund the move into the new premises and the work and costings associated with this. No matter how big or small your donation, it is greatly appreciated and will help us to expand and offer more comprehensive support packages to some of the most needy and vulnerable children in our community.
