In order for us to continue our important work , we have had to make changes to our processes in order to provide a covid safe basic level of support to those in need.

These changes had to cut our twice weekly social gatherings and the interaction we would normally have when handling deliveries and donations due to social distancing guidelines. This is to protect people donating, volunteers and our service users.

The government is allowing us to continue with our work based on current legislation and our process changes.

Unfortunately, the current situation has both hugely increased demand for support and drastically cut the amount of food donations we receive.

During early 2020 we expanded our services to include emergency 3 day food parcel deliveries called Hope2Home

Since lockdown in April 2020, our food parcels have contained 24,366 meals....

Over the Christmas and New Year period we have given out 214 festive food hampers with our food parcels.

On top of this we have given out the usual shoes, clothes, toiletries, tents, sleeping bags and a lot more.......

2021 will bring fresh challenges. We have outgrown our current premises set up and are seeking new premises so we can continue to offer the support that is clearly required to those in need in our local community.

Any money you donate goes directly to food and other basic supplies to our service users and, our running costs so we can continue to operate.

Burton HOPE is a local not-for-profit organisation, operating 7 days a week and run entirely by the work of around 100 unpaid volunteers.
