Leadership Development

The work done by charities in the UK is a critical part of the countrys infrastructure. So often charities fill the gaps that the government is unable to cover. For many people with support from charities, the help offered is literally a life saver. Hence the role of a charity leader is critical in so many ways. The rewards for a leader in those charities in terms of job satisfaction can be great. However, the challenges can also be immense. Often, despite showing immense courage, drive and determination, leaders can find themselves struggling facing seemingly impossible challenges and carrying enormous burdens - often with little or no outside support.

In CCBF we believe that charity leaders deserve a better deal than that, and have committed to doing everything we can to up that support. A key part of our support is around developing their existing skills as key leaders in their charity. In doing so, we can enable them (a) to become more effective in their roles and (b) to help them make their charities more sustainable and able to move forward on a pathway to growth.

To help make this happen, CCBF have partnered with a specialist leadership development provider-Tiger Teams - who have a long history of working with senior leaders and helping them develop both their leadership and the effectiveness of their teams.

Together CCBF and Tiger Teams are taking twelve senior voluntary sector leaders away to remote mountain residential setting to work with them for four days to support them in their strategic and team leadership as well as their personal development. Taking place in Cumbria 22nd-25th March 2022.
