CCHSG has had a successful and committed PTFA for many years. It is run by an enthusiastic committee of volunteers and aims to raise funds for the benefit of the students and give students, their families and friends a chance to become more involved in the vibrant and diverse CCHSG school community.

The PTFA Committee annually organises social and fundraising events throughout the year such as family Quiz and Bingo Nights, a Welcome Party for new Year 7 students and a vibrant Christmas Market. We also run a very popular second hand uniform store for the benefit of our parents. On average over £20,000 is raised annually, all of which is used to fund additional resources and equipment requested by school staff, to support teaching and learning. In response to the pandemic, recent purchases have included additional benches for all-weather outdoor learning and a range of sports hall equipment. The classroom visualisers which the PTFA have supplied to the school, are helping staff to show exemplar work and give visual demonstrations in live lessons during this remote learning period.

Sadly, due to the constraints resulting from the COVID pandemic, our fundraising will be much reduced this year. We have had to cancel many of our events and move others online. We now need to look at other new, different, COVID-safe ways to plug this gap.

There has never been a better or more important time to support CCHSG PTFA. We understand that not everyone will be able to help financially at this time, but your input and ideas are welcome and appreciated.
