Every day four families across the UK are told their child has cancer. We feel passionately about helping all these families along this difficult journey. We help children to regain their physical fitness, strength and confidence by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes and specialist support during treatment and into recovery. Since the charity began in 2005, we have awarded over 6,000 bikes and trikes.

Fundraisers from the CFC Sportive 2020 will enable us to help more children like Maddie.

Maddie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic leukaemia in June last year just after her 5th birthday. She has been through some intense treatment in the last 6 months which made her very poorly and she was unable to walk for some time and needed carrying, or in a pushchair to get about. Her strength has slowly improved and today she enjoyed being back on a bike, she is very pleased with it, especially as it's purple!
