Story

Because of you, I laugh a little harder, cry a little less and smile a little more!"

Our children thrive on their friendships and need the space at school where they can hang out to nurture their friendships.

Head teacher Emily Barns explains the school's plan,

The area has been designed for the students to enjoy during their break time and lunchtime to eat or be with friends. Your support is very much appreciated, and we believe that this project will greatly improve our pupil experience at Coombe".

We have exciting news!

The main structure has been installed over the half-term holiday and the students can now start to enjoy the new area. The PFA’s contribution is helping to fund tables and seating.

It’s not too late to get involved to help us reach our £5000 target. Just another £1000 to go! Right now you can help by making a donation.

We appreciate any amount you can give, large or small. Thank you to all who have donated so far, directly here on our Just Giving page or by attending PFA events and activities over the past months.

Coombe Girls' School PFA has a vital role, supporting the staff and pupils by raising money to buy additional equipment for the school and helping with extracurricular activities. We support the School's social events and performances as well as aiming to foster networking and friendship amongst school community. The PFA is open to all parents and carers and has a small friendly committee and an enthusiastic group of helpers. Through our staff representative, we receive wish lists from the departments, and we also involve the School Council. We raise money through Quiz Nights, Uniform Sales, Crowdfunding, Online Auction and Summer Raffle. We are always looking for new ideas for fundraising and support from businesses for raffle prizes/sponsorship and we always welcome help to run events.
