Story
DAN SPATARU is the father of 2 wonderful children, a husband and a kind man who for the last 3 years has participated in 3 half marathons to support the cause of children with serious neurological disorders. He is a lover of exercise and healthy living, but especially a supporter of charitable causes. This year Dan will participate for the first time in the Virtual London Marathon supporting the cause of abandoned children suffering from serious neurological disorders.
Dan tells us: "Running is my passion, but in addition to the things that help you be better (will, perseverance, training) I had an advantage that most of us have, but maybe we are not aware enough: HEALTH. Unfortunately, some of our peers do not have it.
This is also the case for children with serious neurological diseases, for which the Foundation for Children in Difficulty has set up a specially arranged and equipped centre that provides accommodation, medical assistance, personalized care, emotional support, therapy, and socialization.
Every second of life of children with profound neurological disorders depends on daily physical therapy sessions. As with us sports enthusiasts, the movement has similar positive effects for these children. For them, it prevents the aggravation of the health condition, tones the muscles, strengthens the central nervous system, and supports their physical recovery. Children with severe neurological disorders not only improve the muscle tone needed to perform various movements, but also add moments of life.
