Story
I started running in 2010 for no particular reason or purpose but running was my way of getting over what it was like trying my life up.
At that time, I had just received the news that my wife and I had lost the baby just 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Running and the possibility of running a marathon the following year became a target for someone who knew too little about distance running on Mondays, training somehow effort, suffering, motivation were things I needed to move on. Soon in 2011 I found out that I would become a father again and I dedicated my first marathon to the child to be born and to the memory of the one who never came.
Why am I telling you all this? Because I want it to be understood that running is related to children and everything that followed and dedicated to my children or those who needed it was through running.
That's why in 2017 I had a "marathon" of 37 hours and 11 minutes in which I lived with the longest weather report in the world to raise money for Kassandra, a child who suffered a lot and needed complicated operations. Then in 2019 appeared 100k Walk, or 100km traveled non-stop for humanitarian causes and children with autism were the beneficiaries of this action which reached the 4th edition.
It is only natural that they intertwine the dream of running the virtual London Marathon. It is the dream of every marathon runner. I logically dedicate this dream to children, children from CID who need as much attention, love, care, love as possible as they have for some time since CID has been their home.
We are in 2021 and I am writing these lines when we have crossed the border of the 15,000 km run and almost 7,000 km pedaled.
