Story

***Mission Completed!*** There's still time to donate...

On Sunday 19th September, 17 fabulous colleagues took to the New Forest to complete over 1200 miles of cycling, in aid of the Family Holiday Association. The weather was kind to the riders, and despite one very busted-up tyre and several wild ponies to contend with, all 17 riders came back through smiling and received their finishers medals. The CLIA gang collectively...

*Covered 1260 miles (Lands End to John OGroats and half way back again) *Climbed 42,340 ft (1.5 times Everest!) *Burnt 32400 calories (60 Big Macs) * Consumed 34000 calories (65 Big Macs!)

So far the team have helped raise enough money to send more than 21 families away on a short break, who are dealing with some of life's toughest circumstances. There's still time to donate though and help them send even more families away, and create memories that last a life time.

CLIA - Cruise Line International Association - have been supporting UK families to benefit from a break for several years now. Their fundraising story takes in several cycle rides through the sunny (not always) South Downs, and at events and industry gatherings. With a combined fundraising total of over £25,000 this committed group of travel professionals pedal on, knowing they have already helped around 100 families to experience a short break - and determined to help more still.

Family Holiday Association supports families facing some of life's toughest challenges to experience a break - something out of reach for so many, but so beneficial. For families escaping domestic violence, living with long-term illness, facing bereavement and other tough situations, a break provides a moment in time to make memories that will last a lifetime.

A few days away is a chance to reflect, and families returning from a break tell us that their confidence, resilience and ability to cope increases as a result of the break. We support families from across the UK, to enjoy a break or a day trip in the UK.
