COVID 19 India Emergency Appeal

Organised by Carers Worldwide

Our emergency appeal will provide emergency food relief, medicines and transport to vaccination centres for people with disabilities and long term health conditions and their family carers in India during the COVID19 crisis.

Carers Worldwide is the only organisation exclusively highlighting and tackling the issues facing unpaid family carers in developing countries. This vulnerable and hidden group are at high risk of social stigma, isolation, ill health and poverty. We promote their inclusion and give them a voice.

Story

The current situation in India is critical.

Donations and aid are coming in for medical relief, but who is caring for the family carers and the people they care for, through these difficult and dangerous times?

Our emergency appeal will provide emergency food relief, medicines and transport to vaccination centres for people with disabilities and long term health conditions and their family carers in India during the COVID19 crisis. Many of these families live in rural and remote areas, which are not being reached by other emergency aid efforts.

£15 will provide food and vitamins for a family of 5 for a month.

£14 will provide medication for epilepsy or mental health conditions for one person for 1 month.

£8 will transport 20 people to a vaccination centre from their rural village so they can have the opportunity to get vaccinated.

Please donate whatever you can to our COVID 19 India Emergency Appeal today. With your support we can help this invisible army of carers and their families.
