New Stable Coxed Four/Quad

City of Sheffield Rowing Club are fundraising towards the cost of a stable coxed 4/quad. We have been kindly give a £3k grant from The Rowing Foundation towards the cost, and we now have to match that to get to the total to cover the cost + shipping.

We promote healthy recreation in Sheffield through the sport of rowing. Based on Damflask Reservoir in the Loxley Valley, we are home to 250 rowers. We have active men's, women's, juniors', veterans', and recreational squads. We host the annual Boat Race between the city's universities.

Story

City of Sheffield Rowing Club has been growing over the years, and especially our recreational squad. We want to be able to expand our recreational squad, giving more people in and around Sheffield the opportunity to get active, meet new people and enjoy the beautiful Peak District. We also want to be able to take more beginners on to teach people how to row, especially juniors and people with disabilities. To do this we need another coxed quad/four. The Rowing Foundation are supporting our cause by giving us a generous £3,000 towards the cost of a second-hand explorer boat. We have found the perfect boat, currently in Cork and waiting to come to Sheffield to teach beginners how to row. But first, we need to match the £3,000 grant to raise a total of £6,000 to cover the cost of the boat and getting it transported over to Sheffield. We have already managed to raise £400 through Easy Fundraisin, and we are now on the last leg of our journey to raise the remaining £2,600, to be able to bring our new boat home
