Story

Get your kit on for CamSight's Virtual Challenge!

Use your one form of exercise a day and raise funds for CamSight! But remember, stay safe and follow the government guidelines to exercise at home or only use open spaces close to home.

Due to coronavirus we've had to change the way we raise our income. Our traditional income streams have come to an abrupt halt as we've cancelled our fundraising events and activities. At the same time our running costs have increased as we've changed the way we work to continue supporting blind and partially sighted people in their homes.

As CamSight has suspended face-to-face support we are carrying out a ring-a-round service. Up to the 9th April we have phoned 1,198 people isolated at home to provide support at this critical time, before they reach crisis point.

Living in isolation with no or low vision is distressing and frightening. Please help us be there for people who desperately need us during this crisis.

"Thank you for being there for my mum. You are superb. As a body, no one in your organisation has been anything but wonderful to mum in the support that you've given. The same goes for other people in her group. Phoning her has been the best therapy for her. You're all angels."
