Story
We have been caught in a perfect storm of rising costs and falling donations! We can no longer afford to rent our cattery, so we need to raise funds to build new cat pods at a new location to continue our vital work.
We depend solely on donations, but these have fallen during the Covid pandemic and the cost of living crisis. At the same time boarding fees and other costs have increased, so we need your help to continue to help abused, neglected and abandoned cats and kittens like blind ginger kitten brothers Arthur and Gabriel saved from a waste reclamation plant
and beautiful black cat Eliza who was rescued as a stray with an horrific collar injury which we continue to treat.
The RSPCA Cat Hub is one of the most successful cat rehoming centres in the country, finding happy, new forever homes for more than 1,000 cats and kittens in less than four years with Julian Norton, The Yorkshire Vet, present to see the hand over of Hugo, our 1,000th cat to his new owner in April this year!
We are most grateful for any amount you can donate, but if you donate £250 or more, then you can sponsor one of our new pods for a year. We will put your name on a pod and, once we are open, we will invite you to visit. We will also thank you on our website and on social media. Once you have donated, please email cathubjonathan@gmail.com with your details.
Any money we raise above our target for new pods will help pay our running costs, including vets bills. We are grateful for any help you can give us right now. Thank you!
Based in Darlington and supported by four local branches of the RSPCA, the Cat Hub is administered by RSPCA Darlington and District Branch.
