Story

St Michael & All Angels is a Grade 1 listed church with 12th Century origins which in normal times offers weekly services and, even in lockdown, is open for prayer every day.

The church runs two fundraisers, the bi-annual fete and the Cheriton Talks, both of which contribute significantly to the church's finances. Like many institutions we have suffered a severe drop in income during the course of the pandemic. We were unable to hold the fete in 2020 and collections from services, currently suspended, have fallen considerably. The costs of running the church on the other hand have hardly changed and we are expected to maintain our contribution to the Common Mission Fund. The income from these short series of talks therefore becomes extremely important. Please be as generous as you can to enable us to keep our beautiful church building open. We look forward to welcoming you in person next year!
