Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.
This Christmas we will all take things for granted. Food, family, shelter, gifts are some things we don't take enough time to appreciate.
For 2019 we are aiming to feed over 400 kids at Emmanuel Hope Orphanage and Street Children in Nakuru, Kenya who through of fault of their own will have no family or food this Christmas. The event is run completely by volunteers from the Nakuru community and managed by our first ever beneficiary from our charity, George Owino. George was funded through university to become a social worker 6 years ago and he now runs all THEY are Africa projects for us as a volunteer. We are so grateful for the volunteers in Kenya who give up there time to help others.
This is our 5th year of running this campaign and we don't like to push our work out there to much to people as we are happy being a small charity and making a genuine impact on young people and seeing 100% of all money going to projects and funding kids for a better future. We are currently funding 19 kids through school in Kenya from Primary through to College. If you would like to get involved with sponsoring a child please get in touch. It costs £50 per term and there are 3 terms a school year. We have families who partner there kids with pen pals, schools who have us as there chosen charity and link it in to the curriculum, individual donors and standing order donations. We are completely flexible of how you would like to get involved.
We would be very thankful if you could donate however large or small and spread some Christmas cheer to these wonderful people whilst they enjoy their food together.
The total cost of the project is 93,000 kenyan shillings which converts to £720. THEY are Africa and Trustees Naomi and Cameron will donate £220 to reduce the target to £500. You can see the breakdown of costs in the image gallery along with photos from the last 4 years feeds.
Krismassi Njema! Merry Christmas!
