Story
For over 38 years, through your amazing generosity, we have been able to bless families with food hampers and toy parcels each year; many of these families are unaccustomed to the kindness of strangers, but this gesture dramatically illustrates the love of Christ.
One mother's story,
Prison Fellowship called to explain that her son had requested a hamper for her, the lady was out shopping at the time and began to cry. She explained that there had been a recent bereavement in the family; she was feeling totally overwhelmed by life and simply didnt know where to turn, because she knew that many services aimed at supporting folks such as herself were at breaking point, and getting appointments meant lengthy waiting times.
She was so touched that her son was able to let his mum know that he was thinking about her at Christmas through PF providing a hamper. We were also able to offer her a visit from one of our Family Workers and assured her that we would be in contact after the holidays'.
In Prison Fellowship we are very thankful for all who give so generously and sacrificially to enable us to offer the Hope of the Gospel to men and women throughout the year and especially at Christmas.
