Love Rowing and Zoom Ergos are delighted to support an inclusive youth rowing initiative called City of Bristol Junior Rowing bursary.
The City of Bristol Junior Rowing bursary is a new initiative set up by City of Bristol Rowing Club (CoBRC) and will be offered for the first time this year to two secondary school children in the Bristol area. The bursary is for children from lower-income backgrounds who would be unable to afford club membership. It will cover all their costs as juniors at the club. City of Bristol RC intend to fundraise regularly so that the recipients are financially covered throughout their junior rowing careers until they are 18 years old. As juniors, the bursary recipients will have the opportunity to train three times a week, race regularly throughout the year, take part in an annual residential training camp, and attend regular social events set up by the club.
Your donation will go towards fundraising for an additional bursary this year as the club has been oversubscribed and would like to be able to offer a bursary to a third child.
This will have a huge impact on these children's lives. They would never have the chance to row so thank you in advance for your support.
CoBRC believes firmly that rowing club membership not only brings added health and fitness benefits, but it also boosts mental health and enhances academic progress. It also believes that these benefits should also be available to all children, not just those who can afford it.
Thank you
