Story
It can be hard to know where to turn when a child in the family has a visual impairment or is diagnosed as blind. Useful Vision is a registered charity, providing support, opportunities and jam-packed events for sight impaired children and their families in the North East.
Stacey and Chris are completing the Newcastle Colour Obstacle Rush 2022 in aid of Useful Vision and their visually impaired son, Jack. Jack's Nana Tracey and Auntie Daisy will also be taking on the challenge!

Useful Vision is a lifeline for Stacey and her family, who have been registered with the charity for over 8 years. "They're our life savers" she says.
We would not be able to manage without their support"
From fun-filled days at the farm, to action-packed sports such as climbing or surfing, to skills workshops in cooking or crafts, Useful Vision provides exclusive and accessible activities designed to meet the needs of each child.
Normally we would be put off going to places as it might be too busy or too much for Jack, which means both him and his sibling would miss out Stacey says.
Useful Vision helps us to spend time together as a family"
Useful Vision aims to reduce social isolation and promote happiness and wellbeing. Stacey says, as well as enjoying the huge range of activities, her family has the opportunity meet others in a similar situation.
We talk to other families, make friends and help each other"
With your donation, Useful Vision can continue providing fun and accessible activities for Jack and to support other families with visually impaired children. Every penny raised makes a huge difference - please consider donating today!
