New Public Access Defibrillator for Hosey Common Car Park

We are raising funds to enable us to install a Public Access Defibrillator at Hosey Common Car Park, Westerham. The defib and security box would cost in the region of £1,800.

Edenbridge Community First Responders are volunteers trained to respond to emergency 999 calls on behalf of South East Coast Ambulance Service. Whilst an ambulance is being dispatched, Community First Responders are able to respond to emergency incidents within the first few critical minutes of a call.

Story

A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest. This high energy shock is called defibrillation, and it's an essential part in trying to save the life of someone whos in cardiac arrest. A defibrillator may also be called a defib, an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) or a PAD (Public Access Defibrillator).
